Margaret & Chris - Longacres Function Venue - Langebaan

This wedding of Chris and Margaret can be seen as the wedding of the year here at Longacres Function Venue and was the brainchild of Laeticia Hugo's hard work, meticulous planning, late nites and early mornings making all the décor elements.  It was for us a privilege and huge opportunity to bring her vision to life and to capture the essence of this elegant and beautiful decorated wedding.
There was 3 different styled tables on a stunning brocade tablecloth.  One with a glass vase with bark, pebbles and a dessert rose. One with a branched tree full with petals and leaves from vintage book pages.  Oregano flowers and pretty little birdies.  The 3rd table was a watering can  filled with bunches of Calla Lilies (Varkblomme).  On all the tables was jars and bottles embellished with crochet ribbon and flowers. Lace and puffed magazine hearts and some votives repeat this detail.  Fynbos tied all the elements together and was repeated on the main table to.  On the stoep was a Gluwine station, hot chocolate station and a sherry station on awesome vintage stable doors. The enamel kettles just add the awesome to the yumminess of the refreshments.  The vintage suitcases just add a touch to the overall décor.   Wine barrel chandeliers just add that extra touch but the huge welcome tree top it all with the rusted hearts on lace ribbons in front of the Bedouin tent where the ceremony took place.
The guestbook was something totally different for a change and all guests left a thumb print as a leave on a beautiful painted tree.

Our best wishes to Margaret and Chris on their wedding.

4 Special Forces Winter Ball at Longacres Function Venue

The theme for 2013 was "white on white". This Winter Ball of the Special Forces was just different and beautiful and did stand out above the previous years.  The capable team of La Bella Donna bring this theme to life with a hall that was elegantly covered in crisp soft white draping, white diamond patterned table cloths, napkins and a canopy with thousands of twinkling fairy lights above the formal set tables.  The team envision a display of unique centrepieces not seen before on the West Coast and some were exclusively manufactured for this function.
The guests were welcomed at the end of the red carpet, edge with beautiful lanterns into a stunning garden display of plants where they all mingled and catch-up over a sherry.

The 2013 winter ball will be remembered by fabulous décor, good food and wine and exceptional photography by Linda V Photography.  The photo booth was a huge hit and all the guests make use of the props to playfully disguise their identities and they did make sure that this was another successful event to be remembered.
